What was supposed to be a fun “Kiss Cam” moment during Coldplay’s concert in Massachusetts has turned into a viral corporate scandal — and the band may have unintentionally exposed an alleged affair between two high-ranking tech executives.Công ty tỷ USD của CEO bị bắt quả tang ngoại tình tại concert Coldplay - Kinh doanh

During Coldplay’s July 16 show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, the band’s Jumbotron captured Andy Byron, CEO of the data software firm Astronomer, in a seemingly intimate moment with the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Kristin Cabot. The video, which exploded across TikTok and social media, shows Byron embracing Cabot — only for both to panic and recoil as they realize they’ve been caught on the big screen

As the crowd laughed and cheered, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin added fuel to the moment with a cheeky on-stage comment:

“Either they’re having an affair… or they’re just very shy.”
“I hope we didn’t do something bad,” he added, unaware of what had just been unleashed.

The TikTok video now has over 4 million likes, with users flooding the comments to dissect the clip — and some eagle-eyed viewers even speculated that other Astronomer employees in the background already knew about the alleged workplace relationship.

🕵️‍♀️ Online sleuths and fake apologies

The incident exploded even further when what appeared to be a public apology from Byron began circulating online. The statement even included a reference to Coldplay’s 2005 track “Fix You.” But when pressed, Astronomer’s spokesperson Taylor Jones denied the statement’s authenticity, calling it “fake” and clarifying that neither Byron nor the company has made an official comment.Coldplay Concert Couple Go Viral, Chris Martin Jokes About 'Affair'

🔥 The fallout — from Facebook to fashion merch

Byron has served as CEO of New York-based Astronomer, with additional offices in San Jose and San Francisco, since 2023. He is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, with whom he shares two children. Following the viral scandal, multiple outlets have reported that Megan removed her husband’s last name from her Facebook profile — before deleting her account altogether. Sources claim she has begun legal proceedings.

As for Kristin Cabot, she joined Astronomer late last year. She was previously married to Ken Thornby, president of Middie Back Inc, a trucking company.

The story has reached such meme-worthy levels that Etsy sellers have begun selling merchandise poking fun at the moment. One trending sweatshirt reads:

“I Took My Sidepiece To The Coldplay Concert And It Ruined My Life.”

Even Ry Walker, Astronomer’s former CEO and co-founder, chimed in on X (formerly Twitter) using the hashtag #ColdplayGate, clarifying he’s no longer affiliated with the company.

🎬 ColdplayGate meets pop culture

In a bizarre pop culture crossover, indie film distributor Neon used the viral image to promote its upcoming film Together, starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie. The caption?

“The perfect date night movie,” — paired with a still of Byron and Cabot caught in their now-infamous embrace.

Meanwhile, the scandal continues to swirl around Chris Martin himself, who’s facing renewed media attention over his own recent split from long-time partner Dakota Johnson, star of Materialists. The couple had been together for nearly eight years.

Coldplay’s July 16 show marked the second of two sold-out nights at Gillette Stadium as part of their “Music of the Spheres” world tour. The band had previously played at Stanford Stadium on May 31 and June 1 — with no known romantic drama caught on  camera at those events.

💬 “Coldplay didn’t just light up the night — they accidentally lit the fuse on a viral workplace scandal no one saw coming.”
