GB News host Michelle Dewberry has expressed her outrage after a female fencer was disqualified from her tournament for refusing to compete against a transgender competitor.
After taking the knee against her opponent, Turner was disqualified and shown a black card, which is typically reserved for bad behaviour or unsporting conduct.
Discussing the latest trans row in sport, Michelle Dewberry said she “saluted” Turner for taking a stand against Sullivan.

MacKenzie explained: “She is brave. She’s also brave because the trans lobby is enormously powerful and vile, and if you get on the wrong side of it, you’re either through the Twittersphere or any other form of social media ,the bucket load that gets poured on you is enormous.
“The thing I couldn’t understand about it is why the fencing authorities who run that sport haven’t acted in the same way as the athletic authorities have it done in this country.”
In agreement with Michelle and MacKenzie, former Labour MP Bill Rammell said that biological men competing in women’s sport is “wrong”.
He told GB News: “I’m a passionate supporter of sport, but based on fair competition – and biological men competing in women’s sport is wrong.

“What does concern me, Seb Coe’s defeat for the presidency of the International Olympic Committee, he was clearly committed to tackling this issue. He lost very heavily.
“And the woman who beat him has not given that commitment, and the IOC has got a very powerful role to play here.”
USA Fencing said in a statement that their policy “was designed to expand access to the sport of fencing and create inclusive, safe spaces”.
The organisation added: “The policy is based on the principle that everyone should have the ability to participate in sports and was based upon the research available of the day.”
