Jessie J is poised to make a triumphant return to television with a highly-anticipated appearance on Strictly Come Dancing this September, following her recent mastectomy surgery.

The 37-year-old singer, who bravely shared her breast cancer diagnosis in June, confirmed that her surgery went well and that there has been “no cancer spread.” Just two weeks after the procedure, Jessie is already planning a comeback that fans will not want to miss.

BBC producers are reportedly thrilled to welcome Jessie back to the stage, believing she’s the perfect personality to open the new season. A source told The Sun that “Jessie is putting her health and recovery first but is already excited for getting back on stage.”

Jessie has also been announced as part of the Radio 2 In The Park lineup this September in Chelmsford, suggesting that her return to the public eye will be both emotional and celebratory.

Before the surgery, Jessie shared a touching video of her two-year-old son Sky reassuring her by saying, “Mummy’s going to be okay.” After the successful operation, she told fans, “AND… I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread. Happy tears are real.”

The Price Tag hitmaker admitted that her emotions had caught up with her in the weeks following the operation. “I didn’t really have time to process what was happening. Now I’m here, letting myself be angry, sad, and all the things,” she shared candidly.

She also opened up about the emotional complexity of saying goodbye to her breast: “A little disappointed in myself I didn’t say goodbye to my old boob enough… I was just being strong. Now I’m letting myself feel it.”

Jessie joked that she’s still adjusting to her new appearance. “Now it’s just me and my wonky boobs trying to figure out how to dress until I match them up. The left one is looking at me like ‘you ok babe?’”

Fans are already eagerly awaiting her upcoming appearances, viewing them as a symbol of strength, hope, and the power of moving forward.
