The young woman who believed she was Madeleine McCann has finally discovered the truth after a DNA test confirmed she is not the missing girl who disappeared in 2007
Julia Wendell has decided to “be back with her dad” after a DNA test confirmed she is not missing person Madeleine McCann.
The 21-year-old made headlines after saying she could be Madeleine, who disappeared at the age of three while on holiday with her family in Portugal.
Julia, who also goes by the names of Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt, has now returned to Poland from the US to be with her family.
Dr Fia Johansson, a private investigator and medium who has been helping Julia, took to her Instagram Story to confirm the news.
She wrote: “This story is much more complicated than a simple firl from a small town in Poland making a claim to get attention.

“She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions about her childhood it is easy to understand where she was coming from.
“What is amazing is Julia’s parent’s refusal to resolve this nagging question for Julia. A simple DNA test by parents would have resolved many questions for Julia.
“In any case, upon revelation, she decided to be back with her dad.

“I personally wish her well.”
Julia’s DNA test results have showed that she is from Poland, with some Lithuanian and Romanian heritage.

Dr Johansson added: “Julia’s test results are back. We finally know the reality.
“Although it is impossible to tell for sure without the parent’s DNA results on either side, the test results speak to the origins of Julia’s root.
“The test results revealed that she is a 100% of Polish heart, with negligible influence from Lithuania, and Russia. The DNA test results did not show any connection to British or even German roots.”

She discussed her early memories and showed pictures of herself as a child to try and support her claims.
The young woman claimed that she doesn’t want contact with her mother, no matter what the DNA results would have shown.
She firmly stated: “If she is my mother, I don’t want to have contact with her that’s all, but I believe she isn’t my mother.”
