Astronomer has clarified that the woman beside CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot in an internet-breaking video is NOT Alyssa Stoddard, another company employee.

On Wednesday night, a video surfaced of the Astronomer CEO hugging Cabot on the kiss cam at Coldplay’s concert inside Gillette Stadium (the home of the NFL’s New England Patriots). Byron is married with two kids, and the viral reaction of him and Cabot has social media convinced that they’ve engaged in an affair.

Internet detectives incorrectly claimed that the red-faced woman beside Byron and Cabot was Alyssa Stoddard, who’s also employed by same company:

But in a statement posted on LinkedIn, Astromer clarified that neither Stoddard nor other company employees were at the concert:

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.

The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly. Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”

Stoddard, who graduated from Bentley University, joined the company in January. Cabot was only hired as the Chief People Officer in November 2024. She is divorced and has at least one child, according to multiple media outlets.

Since the viral video surfaced, Byron and Cabot have deleted their LinkedIn profiles.

There is also misinformation spreading about Byron posting a statement, but the company clarified that he hasn’t done so.
