Jessica Tarlov is a respected political strategist and commentator, best known for her role as a co-host on Fox News’ The Five. With a sharp analytical mind and a calm presence, she has earned recognition for representing a moderate, research-based perspective in televised political debate.

Born and raised in Tribeca, Manhattan, Tarlov is the daughter of screenwriter Judith Roberts and the late Mark Tarlov, an attorney and accomplished film producer. Her upbringing in a family immersed in both law and the arts shaped her early interest in public affairs and storytelling.

Tarlov earned a B.A. in history from Bryn Mawr College before moving to the UK, where she completed a Master of Science in public policy, a Master of Research in political science, and a Ph.D. in political science and government from the London School of Economics. Her academic credentials have become a key part of her identity as a data-driven voice in political media.

She began her career as a research assistant to political analyst Douglas Schoen, who encouraged her to bring her insights to television. By 2014, Tarlov was a regular presence on Fox News and officially became a contributor in 2017. In January 2022, she was promoted to rotating co-host on The Five, where she brings thoughtful debate and centrist perspectives to a wide audience.

Outside of her professional life, Tarlov lives in New York City with her husband, hedge fund executive Brian McKenna. The two met during the COVID-19 lockdown and married in 2021. They have two daughters: Cleo, born in 2021, and Teddy, born in April 2024.

Balancing her media career with motherhood and intellectual integrity, Jessica Tarlov continues to shape political discourse with a calm voice, measured arguments, and a commitment to respectful dialogue in a polarized time.
