The free event will be held on June 14 at Boxcar Willie, located at 207 W. Ridgeley St., and promises to be a day of music and celebration for the community.

“Come on down and experience his incredible talent live, and see one of the nation’s rising stars in our very own town!” the post read.

Atmore’s interim mayor, Shawn Lassiter, also expressed his excitement, telling AL.com: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our community and folks visiting Atmore to come together and enjoy world-class entertainment right here at Boxcar Willie. His performance will undoubtedly be a highlight of the day.”

Fans are equally enthusiastic. “This is awesome!!!!,” one person commented on Facebook. “Can’t wait to see you!!,” another added, while others simply reacted with, “Omg!!!”

The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Jamal Roberts taking the stage at 4 p.m.

In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Roberts revealed that plans are already underway. “Yeah, we’re already working on that now, we’re working on some stuff as we speak,” he said. “We’re going to have something coming soon.”
