At a recent stop on his Backroad Baptism Tour in Pittsburgh, Jelly Roll gave fans a night they’ll never forget — especially for 11-year-old Josie Salvitti, who went from audience member to spotlight partner in a matter of moments.

Armed with a handmade sign that read,

“Since Lainey’s on her way to Alabama… can I sing ‘Save Me’ with you?”
— Josie stood near the front of the stage, hoping for the impossible. To her surprise, the country superstar noticed.

Josie later told Music Mayhem that fellow fans went out of their way to help her get noticed:

“Everyone was so nice and let us get right into the pit. Security even let me stand on a chair. Then it happened—Jelly Roll looked right at me and nodded. Like, ‘I got you.’”

When it was time for “Save Me,” Jelly Roll kept his word — he brought Josie out onstage.
